Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007

To create a new offence that, in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, is to be called corporate manslaughter and, in Scotland, is to be called corporate homicide; and to make provision in connection with that offence.

The story so farThe Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 20 July 2006 by John Reid (Labour). It completed its passage through Parliament and became law as the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, receiving Royal Assent on 26 July 2007.
