The story so farThe Voting Age (Reduction) Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 5 December 2007 by Julie Morgan (Labour). It is now at second reading in the House of Commons. What the bill does

<p>The Bill would amend the Representation of the People Act 1983 to reduce the voting age for parliamentary and other elections, including local government elections, to 16.</p>
