What the bill does
<p>Environmental Protection (Airports) Bill</p><p>The aim of this Bill is to promote the protection of the environment near airports. It would establish the Airport Environment Watchdog, which would have powers to:</p><ul><li>monitor the environmental impact of airports and to report levels of pollution </li><li>recommend courses of action to individual airports </li><li>impose fines if recommendations were unreasonably ignored. <br></li></ul>
