The story so farThe Union Flag Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 5 February 2008 by Andrew Rosindell (Conservative). It is now at second reading in the House of Commons. What the bill does

The Bill provides a formal definition of the composition of the Union Flag, stipulates that it is the official flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and includes a schedule containing a description of the flag and how it should be flown.<br><br>
