The story so farThe Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 16 June 2021 by Mrs Pauline Latham (Conservative). It completed its passage through Parliament and became law as the Marriage and Civil Partnership (Minimum Age) Act 2022, receiving Royal Assent on 28 April 2022.
