The story so farThe Absent Voting (Elections in Scotland and Wales) Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 16 October 2024 by Tracy Gilbert (Labour). It completed its passage through Parliament and became law as the Absent Voting (Elections in Scotland and Wales) Act 2025, receiving Royal Assent on 27 October 2025.
