Universal Credit Act 2025

Make provision to alter the rates of the standard allowance, limited capability for work element and limited capability for work and work-related activity element of universal credit and the rates of income-related employment and support allowance.

The story so farThe Universal Credit Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 18 June 2025 by Liz Kendall (Labour). It completed its passage through Parliament and became law as the Universal Credit Act 2025, receiving Royal Assent on 3 September 2025.
