Further Education and Training Act 2007

Make provision about the Learning and Skills Council for England; to make provision about institutions within the further education sector; to make provision with respect to industrial training levies; to make provision about the formation of, and investment in, companies and charitable incorporated organisations by higher education corporations; to enable the making of Assembly Measures in relation to the field of education and training; and for connected purposes.

The story so farThe Further Education and Training Bill was introduced in the House of Lords on 20 November 2006 by Lord Adonis (Labour). It completed its passage through Parliament and became law as the Further Education and Training Act 2007, receiving Royal Assent on 23 October 2007.
