The story so farThe Renewable Content Obligation Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 25 February 2009 by Dr Alan Whitehead (Labour). It is now at second reading in the House of Commons. What the bill does
The Bill would allow the Government to specify that certain products must contain minimum levels of recycled material when put on sale in the UK. Its aim would be to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill by creating more demand for recycled material.
