The story so farThe Media Owners (Residency Requirement) Bill was introduced in the House of Commons on 16 July 2009 by Mr David Drew (Labour). It is now at second reading in the House of Commons. What the bill does

This Bill would prohibit the ownership of national media (newspapers, radio or television stations) by persons not resident in the United Kingdom for tax purposes.
