What it does

When a Government Department lays a National Policy Statement before the House, Standing Order No. 152H requires the National Policy Statements sub-Committee of the Liaison Committee to meet to decide to either refer the Statement to an existing Departmental Committee, or to establish a dedicated Committee to consider the policy statement. The sub-Committee’s decisions can be found in the Liaison Committee’s Formal minutes.
