GOODE REPORT ON PENSION LAW

That this House welcomes the additional protection afforded to occupational pension scheme members and pensioners by proposals contained in the Goode Report, particularly the establishment of a minimum of one third member trustees and the creation of a pensions regulator with substantial powers as an initial measure to strengthen protection for pension fund holders; and calls upon the Secretary of State to act swiftly to give legal force to the Goode Committee's unanimous recommendations.
