CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN SOCIAL WORK

That this House welcomes the exhibition describing the work of the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work, staged in the Upper Waiting Hall from 10th to 14th July; recognises the essential and skilful work of social work and social service staff in voluntary, private and statutory sectors in providing care and services in residential, day care and home-based settings for some of the most vulnerable, disturbed or challenging members of the community; and congratulates the Central Council for Education and Training in Social Work for its achievements in developing a practical continuum of vocational, professional and advanced qualifications to equip staff with the knowledge, skills and values they need for the task.
