TRANSFER OF EAST KILBRIDE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HOUSING STOCK

That this House pays tribute to the work of the East Kilbride Residents Federation and East Kilbride District Council in achieving an 86.7 per cent. ballot return of the 7,980 Development Corporation tenants eligible to vote on the transfer of Development Corporation housing stock to alternative landlords; and congratulates those tenants in their near-unanimous decision to choose East Kilbride District Council as their new landlord on the wind up of East Kilbride Development Corporation.
