COMMONS AUTHORITIES AND LOBBY REPRESENTATION
Tabled by Mrs Teresa Gorman (Conservative)

The motion
That this House is worried by the blatant anti-feminism of its own authorities and the lobby, who have consistently and wrongly refused to grant a single press pass to any women's periodicals when minority magazines and newspapers aimed at politically obsessed middle aged males appear to get more journalists admitted than the scale of their coverage of Parliament could possibly warrant; notes that Cosmopolitan has a readership of 2.6 million with a median age of 29 years; and calls upon the House authorities and the lobby to review their position and grant lobby status to the Political Editor of Cosmopolitan, as a magazine which seeks to illuminate rather than trivialise.
