The motion
That this House expresses its concern over continuing damage to hundreds of the most valuable wildlife sites in the United Kingdom; welcomes the Wildlife Bill, drafted by Friends of the Earth, launched by former senior figures from the Nature Conservancy Council and introduced in the House by a cross-party group of honourable Members, which will address weaknesses in the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 which permit damage to hundreds of officially designated sites of special scientific interest; and hopes that time will be found to pass the Bill or to deal with this matter in the current Environment Bill.
