CONTAMINATION OF BRITISH BEACHES

leave out from 'House' to end and add 'Her Majesty's Government and the privatised water companies on the implementation of a continuing programme of measures to improve the quality of British bathing waters; recognises that the billions of pounds committed to this programme is already resulting in lasting benefits and will give Britain some of the cleanest beaches in Europe; and condemns Members of the Labour Party for once again talking down the British tourist industry when pollution of beaches in other European countries give so much cause for concern.'.
