Tabled by Dr Alan Williams (Labour) 30 signatures

The motion

That this House notes the second ever meeting of the Welsh Grand Committee in Cardiff on 30th January discussed the Welsh economy; deplores the failure of the West Mail on 31st January to adequately report any of the speeches made by Opposition members on a subject which covered unemployment, the failure of the National Health Service, the inadequate resources allocated to local authorities, cuts in invalidity benefits, the threats posed by rail privatisation, the export of live animals, the future of of the European union and the need to make the Government properly accountable to the people of Wales; and believes that reporting accurately, correctly and fairly the debate among the elected representatives of the people of Wales is essential in a democracy and in a newspaper purporting to be the national paper of Wales.
