NHS PENSIONS AGENCY AND MYALGIC ENCEPHALOMYELITIS

That this House is gravely concerned that the NHS Pensions Agency as causing severe stress to many employees of the National Health Service because of the way it is acting on the application for pension benefits by employees who have ceased work because of myalgic encephalomyelitis brought about because of their employment within the NHS; notes that many honourable Members have made representations to the agency over a long period of time on behalf of constituents who are claiming benefits because of ME brought about because of their work, but no satisfaction has been obtained; and therefore calls upon the Secretary of State for Health to take immediate action to ensure that employees of the NHS are paid the pension benefits they are entitled to without further delay.
