ROYAL MAIL COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS AND EUROPEAN NATIONS CUP

That this House notes the poll conducted by the Royal Mail through the Times newspaper to select five footballing greats to be commemorated on stamps; further notes that the choice of the Times newspaper effectively disenfranchised the majority of Scottish football fans; deplores the omission from the final five greats chosen of Scottish greats such as Jimmy McGrory, Willie Waddell and Alex James; questions the authenticity of commemorative stamps which fail to remember the contribution of Scottish players when the stamps are supposed to mark a tournament for which Scotland qualified and England did not; and calls upon the Royal Mail to rectify this omission before the tournament begins.
