ROAD SAFETY AND DEFECTIVE LORRIES (No. 2)

That this House considers recent horrifying accidents on Britsh roads which have been caused by defective or grossly inadequately maintained heavy goods vehicles justify the introduction of arrangements to promote the training of mechanics responsible for such vehicles as well as a greater degree of control of the quality of safety critical points of such vehicles; and hopes that no further tragedies will occur before these steps are taken.
