GAS SAFETY REGULATION AND LOCAL AUTHORITIES

That this House notes with concern the continuing and unnecessary death toll among householders from carbon monoxide poisoning; and calls upon the Government, in the context of the current review of the Health and Safety (Enforcing Authority) Regulations, to provide for local authorities to share with the HSE in the enforcement of the relevant Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations in domestic premises.
