MR GEORGE GEROLEMOU AND HIS HOME IN CYPRUS

Tabled by Sir Roger Gale (Conservative) 25 signatures

The motion

That this House congratulates Mr George Gerolemou on the occasion of his 84th birthday; notes with great sadness that for the past 23 of his 84 years he has been prevented, by the illegal Turkish army of occupation in the northern part of Cyprus, from visiting his home in the village of Trigazi; further notes that his house has been stolen from him by an illegal and unrecognised regime and handed to others; and calls upon the relevant powers to use every lawful means to secure a swift re-unification of Cyprus, the re-establishment of the freedoms of movement, domicile and employment for all Cypriots, the removal of Turkish forces and illegal immigrants, the return of mis-appropriated property to its rightful owners and the restoration of the power of the recognised Government of the Republic throughout the island.
