EURO-TUNNEL FIRE SAFETY

That this House is greatly concerned by proposals by Euro-Tunnel to replace professional firefighters with a private team employed directly by the company; notes that fire authorities in Kent and Calais have condemned Euro-Tunnel plans to set up a private fire service; and supports efforts by professional firefighters on both sides of the Channel in their efforts to maintain the high standards of safety for Channel Tunnel users.
