CARERS

That this House recognises the immense contribution that the United Kingdom's 6-8 million carers make in caring for people who are elderly, sick or disabled; and congratulates Carers National Association, the national voice of carers, on organising National Carers Week 1997 and launching a nationwide local call advice and information line for carers.
