KISS GOODBYE TO BREAST CANCER CAMPAIGN

That this House congratulates the research charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer and their partners Avon Cosmetics on their latest campaign Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer, which includes a petition calling on the Government to match pound for pound what charities invest in focused breast cancer research initiatives; notes that at the moment, charities fund around 75 per cent. of the breast cancer research bill in the United Kingdom, not including the contribution of the pharmaceutical industry; asks honourable Members and noble Lords to add their names to the petition and to support the campaign; and calls upon the Government to build on its commitment to combat cancer by increasing its funding for research.
