RICHMOND FOOTBALL CLUB LTD

That this House notes with concern recent press reports which cast doubt on the future existence of Richmond Football Club Ltd; further notes that Richmond is one of the oldest rugby clubs in the United Kingdom and has brought enormous pleasure to so many men, women and children who have played for them and watched them; wishes them well in their ambitious plans to establish top-class rugby in the Thames Valley; and calls upon the EFDR and Rugby Football Union to give Richmond time, support and encouragement, and to take no steps which would threaten the club's future.
