CONCESSIONARY TV LICENCES AND OWNER OCCUPIED SHELTERED ACCOMMODATION

Tabled by Sir Bill O'Brien (Labour) 87 signatures

The motion

That this House believes that the current concessionary television licence scheme discriminates against owner-occupied sheltered accommodation; notes that point 'ii,c' of the qualification criteria stipulates that the accommodation must be provided or managed by a local authority, a housing association or a development corporation; and urges Her Majesty's Government to amend this criteria to include owner-occupied sheltered accommodation.
