That this House recognises the progress made in addressing the needs of former British child migrants following the publication of the Health Select Committee Report in 1998; welcomes in particular steps taken by Her Majesty's Government to improve access to records and assistance with travel costs, thereby enabling some former child migrants to return to their roots; further welcomes many positive developments in Australia in particular steps taken by the Western Australian State Government; and calls on the Federal Government of Australia to further assist the Child Migrants Trust to develop its services in Australia and provide funding for travel for former child migrants.
