That this House notes with deep regret the death of Brian Statham; recognises his life-time of service to Lancashire and England cricket and to Lancashire Cricket Club; and records its appreciation of his superb bowling and of his unfailing sportsmanship and courtesy, which earned him the title of 'Gentleman George'.
