The motion

That this House notes that it is possible to study for a GCSE in motor vehicle and road user studies in Northern Ireland but not in the rest of the UK; notes recent statements by the Secretary of State for Education and Employment suggesting that opportunities to undertake study which is vocational and job-directed need to be expanded; and accordingly asks that the opportunity to study automative subjects be made available to pupils in years 10 and 11 of secondary school in other regions of the United Kingdom.
