LIBERAL DEMOCRAT LEADER IN THE WELSH ASSEMBLY

That this House notes that the Liberal Democrat Leader in the Welsh Assembly, Mike German, has now been under police investigation for the inappropriate and possibly unlawful use of public money for eight months; notes that the department he once headed is also subject to a European investigation into its grants application; further notes that the Liberal Democrats would be the first to call for resignations if these set of circumstances applied to any other party; and urges the Liberal Democrats to take swift action to ensure public confidence of political life is maintained.
