VOTES OF LABOUR MEMBERS ON DEFENCE

Tabled by Sir Anthony Durant (Conservative) 83 signatures

The motion

That this House notes that a large number of Labour honourable Members defied their Party Whip in the Vote on the Defence Estimates on 15th October 1991; and requests them to state where and how they would make the massive cuts in Defence approved by the Labour Party Conference - spelling out which regiments would be reduced or abolished; and what impact they expect cancellations of contracts to have on jobs in the defence industries.
