SCOTTISH BUSINESS SUPPORT FOR THE EURO

That this House notes that Her Majesty's Government will announce the decision on a euro referendum on 9th June; further notes the recent survey by the Scottish Council for Development and Industry whose members favour entry into the euro by 3 to 1; believes that entry into the euro is in the best interests of Scotland and the rest of the United Kindom; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to hold a referendum in the near future and campaign vigorously for a vote to enter the European Single Currency.
