The motion

That this House recognises the need to increase awareness of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and supports ME Awareness Week; notes that there are up to 240,000 people in the UK with ME, the causes of which are not yet known, but symptoms include a combination of extreme exhaustion, muscular and joint pain, headaches, concentration problems, disturbed sleep patterns and dizziness; and calls on the Government to ensure that ME Awareness Week receives appropriate attention.
