DELAY IN IMPLEMENTING GATE GOURMET AGREEMENT

That this House notes with grave concern that the agreement between the T&GWU and Gate Gourmet in respect of the industrial dispute has not yet been implemented; further notes that the Gate Gourmet workers are very concerned about the lack of implementation of the agreement; calls upon Gate Gourmet to take immediate action on the terms agreed with the T&GWU and urges the TUC and the T&GWU to put pressure on Gate Gourmet and British Airways to take immediate necessary action and end the misery and dilemma the Gate Gourmet workers are experiencing due to this delay given that they have already suffered enough from the high handed actions of the Gate Gourmet management; and calls upon the Department of Trade and Industry to intervene to ensure that the Gate Gourmet management carries out its commitment without further delay.
