ADJUDICATION PANEL FOR ENGLAND

Tabled by Sadiq Khan (Labour) 17 signatures

The motion

That this House believes that the decision of the Adjudication Panel for England to suspend the Mayor of London for four weeks, if upheld, would enshrine an unacceptable constitutional principle that someone can be removed from elective office, not by the electorate or for breaches of the law, but by an unelected body, and that such a position violates the rights both of the electorate and of the person so removed from office.
