MR HENRY ALLINGHAM

That this House congratulates Eastbourne resident Mr Henry Allingham on his 110th birthday; marks with respect his long years of active life, especially his service on the Western Front and in the Battle of Jutland during the First World War; considers him a splendid example of the courage, devotion to service and humility of his generation; and wishes him many more happy years.
