TOOTING FIRE STATION

That this House congratulates Tooting Fire Station for its decision to install a solar water heating system, which will provide enough energy to supply most of the hot water used in the station; notes that this makes Tooting the first fire station in London to have solar heating, reducing its annual carbon dioxide emissions by 16 tonnes; further notes that the new system will save the station approximately £3,400 on its annual gas bill; and calls on other stations to follow this example and to install renewable energy generators.
