EXTENSION OF CARER'S ALLOWANCE TO PENSIONERS

That this House notes that many carers are required to continue to care for family members and friends long after they reach retirement age; and calls for a review of the present social security legislation that prevents claimants in receipt of retirement pension from claiming carer's allowance.
