The motion
That this House deplores the failure of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) to award women players at Wimbledon the same prize money as men; finds this inequality deplorable at a time when equal pay is an accepted principle in all other areas; expects the LTA to bring forward proposals for equal pay in time for the championships in 2007; and believes that any failure to do this should result in referral of the matter to the Commission for Equality and Human Rights.
