NATIONAL SERVICE FRAMEWORK ON CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE

The motion
That this House welcomes the new National Service Framework on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD); congratulates the British Lung Foundation and Breathe Easy for leading the campaign and the wider respiratory community for working together to move the issue up the political agenda; regrets that an estimated three million people are affected by COPD; calls for the new National Service Framework to be implemented in full across England to ensure that the treatment and care of people living with COPD is improved; and echoes the call made by the British Lung Foundation for additional chapters to be announced on other lung diseases in due course.
