The motion

That this House recognises that up to one per cent. of the UK population suffers from rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and that it is a condition that affects young people and old alike with women three times more likely to be affected than men; and welcomes the Women and Rheumatoid Arthritis Campaign, a partnership between the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society and Arthritis Care with support from the health care company Abbott, in raising awareness of the impact of RA on women's daily lives and which demonstrates how, with adequate treatment and support, those living with the condition can, and do, lead inspirational and successful lives.
