WORLD CUP SUCCESS FOR ITALY AND ASHTON-UNDER-LYNE

That this House congratulates the national football team of Italy on their success in winning the 2006 World Cup; applauds the magnificent contribution to their victory made by Simone Perrotta and welcomes the role he has played in continuing Ashton-under-Lyne's fine tradition of producing World Cup winners first established by Sir Geoff Hurst in 1966.
