The motion

That this House notes with concern a recent report by the World Conservation Union which states that the West African black rhino appears to have become extinct; recognises that extinction of this animal has been largely brought about by poaching; notes that other rhino species also face extinction while in other areas of Africa populations are increasing due to effective protection measures; and calls for greater protection for all endangered species so that the extinction of more great and very rare animals does not occur.
