INDEPENDENCE FOR SCOTLAND AND ENGLAND

That this House notes the recent ICM poll which shows 31 per cent. support for England's independence; recognises that there is now a situation where not only is there a majority in Scotland for Scottish independence but also growing and substantial support for English independence; further notes on the question of Scottish independence that polls show 54 per cent. of Scots support self-government; and believes that it would benefit both countries to be self-governing, taking responsibility for their own resources, passing their own laws and working together in a new partnership as equal nation states.
