MINERS' MEMORIAL DAY

That this House congratulates the Yorkshire area of the National Union of Mineworkers for recently holding the first ever Miners' Memorial Day and service held at St. Mary's Church, Barnsley in recognition of all the miners, men, women and children, who lost their lives working in the mining industry, or as a consequence of working in the mining industry; and looks forward to Miners' Memorial Day being celebrated in future on an annual basis.
