That this House views with increasing concern the trend in certain UK companies to outsource areas of their operations overseas and the subsequent impact on the UK jobs market; notes with interest recent research, particularly in the insurance industry, which highlights consumer dissatisfaction with such moves and concerns over levels of employment; and further notes a growing body of evidence which suggests that the benefits of cheaper workforces are being passed onto shareholders rather than customers.
