WEIGHT OF FASHION MODELS

The motion
That this House calls on the British Fashion Council to follow the example of the Madrid Fashion Week by banning from fashion shows any model with a Body Mass Index (BMI) below 18; notes that UN health experts recommend a BMI of between 18.5 and 25 dependent on height and weight; and calls on all involved in the UK fashion industry to promote a healthier weight for all models.
