ALTERNATIVELY SECURED PENSION
Tabled by Viscount Hailsham (Conservative)

The motion
That this House believes that it would be discriminatory and a breach of the Human Rights Act 1998 to confine the option of the alternatively secured pension (ASP) to those who have principled religious objections to annuities; and calls on the Government to ensure that ASP is available to all those over 75 years who wish to take advantage of the scheme.
